Job Summary
We are looking for experienced professionals in Cross Border Operations (PAPS) to manage pre-arrival processing for export shipments entering the United States. The role involves reviewing shipment documentation, filing PAPS declarations with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), ensuring customs compliance, and coordinating with internal teams to achieve timely border clearance.
Key Responsibilities
Process PAPS (Pre-Arrival Processing System) declarations for export shipments entering the United States.
Review Bills of Lading (BOL), Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and customs documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Submit pre-arrival filings through CBP ACE (Automated Commercial Setting) within required timelines.
Validate shipment information and ensure compliance with CBP customs regulations.
Monitor shipment status and resolve documentation discrepancies before border arrival.
Coordinate with carriers, brokers, terminals, and internal operations teams for smooth customs clearance.
Ensure timely processing while maintaining SLA and productivity targets.
Handle shipment exceptions, missing documentation, and customer queries.
Maintain operational accuracy and compliance with customs procedures.
Mandatory Skills
Experience in PAPS (Pre-Arrival Processing System).
Knowledge of CBP (U.S. Customs and Border Protection) procedures.
Hands-on experience with ACE Portal.
Cross-border documentation processing.
Bill of Lading (BOL), Commercial Invoice, Packing List verification.
Customs documentation review.
Shipment validation and customs compliance.
Exception handling and issue resolution.
Good communication skills.
MS Excel proficiency.
Preferred Skills
Experience in transportation, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or logistics operations.
