Key deliverables:
- Lead end-to-end PostgreSQL migrations from on-premise to cloud (preferably GCP)
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot complex DB issues
- Develop stored procedures and ensure database high availability and backup
- Document root cause analyses and maintain operational excellence
Role responsibilities:
- Administer and tune PostgreSQL databases across core and cloud infrastructure
- Perform heterogeneous migrations from Oracle/SQL to PostgreSQL
- Implement automation using scripting and tools like Ansible, BARMAN, EFM
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve database-related incidents and queries
