The Role,
We're hiring a Principal Engineer to drive technical architecture and design for Veryon's core platform systems.
The mandate is broad: define engineering standards, guide multiple teams through complex design decisions,



and own the technical direction that determines whether Veryon's platform holds up as it scales. You'll spend real time in legacy-to-modern migration work, architecture reviews, and production reliability problems. You'll also be expected to push AI-assisted engineering from experiment to default practice across the teams you influence.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Architecture and system design. Lead the design of scalable backend services and distributed systems, with a clear view of where the platform needs to go.
- Legacy modernization, hands-on. Guide the incremental re-architecture of systems that carry real technical history — balancing stability against progress and making the judgment calls that come with modernizing a live, business-critical platform.
- Engineering standards. Define and drive design patterns, coding standards, and best practices across teams — the kind of standards that hold up under real production load
