Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale HP's device analytics and insights platform. This role focuses on collecting, processing, and analyzing telemetry from millions of endpoints across Windows, MacOS, and Linux environments while enabling intelligent device insights, diagnostics, and automation.
The ideal candidate has deep systems-level expertise, strong cloud engineering experience, and a proven track record building enterprise-grade endpoint software deployed at scale.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop cross-platform endpoint agents for Windows, and MacOS.
- Build scalable telemetry pipelines for device health, performance, inventory, and diagnostics collection.
- Develop low-level data collection frameworks interacting with OS internals and native APIs.
- Investigate and resolve complex binary crashes, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents.
- Design plugin-based architectures enabling extensible analytics and telemetry capabilities.
- Build AI-powered automation, AI agents, and MCP tools to improve diagnostics and customer workflows.
- Collaborate with cloud, security, and data engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Support enterprise deployments and update mechanisms.
- Contribute to AI-enabled diagnostics, automation, and agent workflows.
- Collaborate with product, cloud, and platform engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
Systems & Platform Expertise
- Robust understanding of Windows and MacOS internals.
- Experience developing system services, daemons, background processes, and desktop applications.
- Knowledge of device lifecycle, domain joining, device identity, and enterprise endpoint management.
- Experience troubleshooting OS-level issues, native code crashes, memory leaks, and performance problems.
