Description
A Python Developer is responsible for building scalable, high-performance backend systems that power our platform. This role requires strong software engineering fundamentals, hands-on backend development experience, and the ability to build reliable, production-grade services that support millions of users.
The ideal candidate is a smart, ambitious engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering problems, thrives in rapid-paced environments, and takes end-to-end ownership of their work. You will collaborate closely with the engineering team on critical platform migration initiatives and contribute to building highly scalable backend systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
- Build and optimize REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Contribute to key engineering initiatives, including:
- Media Pipeline Migration to Temporal
- Communication Platform Migration
- Work with MySQL, Kafka, and AWS to build reliable and fault-tolerant systems.
- Write clean, maintainable,



and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
- Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Take end-to-end ownership of features—from design and development to deployment and monitoring.
- Continuously improve engineering practices, code quality, and system performance.

Requirements
Candidates who demonstrate:
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in backend development using Python.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience building and maintaining production-grade backend applications.
- Hands-on experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
- Experience working with AWS cloud services.
