DESCRIPTION:
The SPOT Developer role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise semantic models and underlying ETL logic build by using SSAS (Tabular) and Power BI datasets. The role owns governed business metric definitions and ensures consistent semantic modeling across reporting solutions. In addition, the role provides operational support for the semantic and reporting layers, ensuring performance, reliability,



and continuity of analytics services.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Define and standardize governed business metrics and calculation logic within semantic models.
- Align semantic modeling practices with enterprise data governance standards.
- Support structured enhancement planning for semantic and reporting improvements.

Project Oversight & System Ownership
- Design and develop semantic layers.
- Develop complex SQL queries and pyspark data transformations supporting semantic models.
- Build and maintain Power BI datasets aligned to governed semantic models.
- Optimize DAX measures, calculated columns, and model relationships.
- Ensure semantic models are sourced from approved Redshift, Databricks, and Athena datasets.
- Maintain documentation of metric definitions, transformation logic, and semantic structures.
