POSITION OVERVIEW:

The New Product Development (NPD) Engineer plays a critical role in driving innovation, developing new products, and enhancing engineering excellence to support CIRCOR's Region for Region strategy in APAC. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a team-oriented mindset to ensure products meet performance, quality, and cost expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Leadership and Team Management

Build and lead the newly created --- NPD team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.

Oversee resource allocation and talent development to ensure NPD project goals are achieved on time and within budget.

2. Product Development & Design

-
Collaborate with global and regional Sales, Marketing, Operations,



and Supply Chain teams to align NPD priorities with customer and market demands under the Region for Region strategy.

Drive the end-to-end New Product Development process, from ideation, conceptual design, prototyping, testing, to final commercialization, supported by global NPD project managers.

Generate design concepts and conduct feasibilities studies

Perform detailed design activities including CFD simulations for hydraulics, FEA for structure integrity and reliability and develop 2D/3D drawings.

Build and test prototypes to validate product performance, operationality and maintainability.

Perform extensive tests (lab, functions, endurance) to assess product efficiency and reliability.

Validate compliance with industry standards (ASME, API, ISO), marine classification requirements, and local regulations.

Develop production tooling, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing trails and mass production.
