Experience Required: Minimum 8–10 years in teaching; 2–3 years in leadership preferred
Qualification: M.Sc. in Physics with B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of the Physics Department who can lead the academic and administrative activities of the Physics faculty and teach students from Grade 6 to 12. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, deep subject knowledge, and the ability to inspire students and teachers alike.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership
- Design and implement curriculum plans for Physics across Grades 6 to 12 in alignment with IB /IGCSE curriculum (as applicable).
- Lead the planning and execution of lessons, assessments, and lab work.
- Ensure the integration of technology and modern teaching methodologies.
- Monitor and support differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
Teaching Duties
- Teach Physics to middle and senior school students with a focus on conceptual clarity and application.
- Prepare students for board examinations, competitive exams (JEE/NEET), and school-based assessments.
- Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and remedial support where needed.
Departmental Management
- Supervise and mentor Physics faculty members.
- Conduct regular departmental meetings and teacher training sessions.
- Review lesson plans, observe classes, and provide constructive feedback.
- Coordinate with school leadership on resource planning, lab maintenance, and budgeting.
Assessment and Reporting
- Oversee the creation and evaluation of question papers, assignments, and practical exams.
- Track and analyze student performance data to drive improvement.
- Communicate student progress with parents during PTMs and through reports.
