Qualification : B.E./B.Tech + preferably an MBA or PMP certification
Salary Budget : 8.00 to 12.00 LPA
Job Purpose:
Your role is the bridge between theoretical engineering and shop-floor reality. In a heat exchanger environment (Radiators, Charge Air Coolers, Oil Coolers), your focus is on reducing "waste" while increasing "throughput."
Key Responsibilities :
OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) :
- Line Balancing & Bottleneck Analysis: Conducting Time and Motion studies to identify "choke points" in the assembly of complex units like Bar & Plate radiators or Oil Coolers.
FTQ (First Time Quality) :
- Cycle Time Reduction: Redesigning workstations or sequence of operations to shave off seconds from the "Core Building" or "Brazing" cycles.
Changeover Time (SMED) :
- Yield Improvement: Analysing scrap data to identify process-driven defects (e.g.,
brazing leaks or fin damage) and implementing corrective actions.
- Layout Optimization: Implementing Lean/5S principles to minimize material movement between the fin mill, core assembly, and testing rigs.
- Automation Integration: Identifying manual processes (like leak testing or tube insertion) that can be semi-automated to improve consistency and safety.
- SOP & Work Instructions: Standardizing the "Best Way" to perform a task to ensure every shift produces the same quality.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Solid ability to analyse complex processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions.
Key Performance Indicators :
- OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
- Throughput / Output per Shift
- FTQ (First Time Quality)
- Cost per Unit (Conversion Cost)
- Changeover Time (SMED)
- Scrap Rate
