Our Global Performance and Simulations - NVH team (Noise Vibration Harshness) is looking for an NVH engineer at the Goodyear Technology Center India, Hyderabad, to support tire and technology development projects with noise and vibration/uniformity investigations, experiments and data processing. Furthermore, the position will support initiatives related to virtual tire development, including tire models creation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Leverage our latest tire/vehicle testing capabilities and modeling/simulation technologies to derisk NVH performance in consumer tire product development projects.
- Integrate tire design teams and provide design and analyses recommendations to meet NVH performance targets.
- Investigate root causes,
develop appropriate countermeasures, and summarize findings in technical reports.
- Further develop, implement, and apply advanced lab and on-vehicle tire testing and innovative NVH analyses.
- Support virtual tire development process by applying NVH performance prediction technologies (FEA, data-driven …).
- Engage with vehicle OEMs to shape our virtual tire/vehicle development process for efficiency, quality and robustness.
- Collaborate with other Global NVH team members on knowledge capture and globalization.
To join our team, you will need:
Education:
- Master’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive or Aerospace engineering or similar domain, with focus on NVH or acoustics.
- Robust theoretical knowledge in structural dynamics and acoustics.
- Familiar with finite element analysis (FEA) technique and/or data-science is an asset.
Languages:
- English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
- Knowle
