Description
We are looking for a skilled CAD Technician with experience in Highways, Drainage, and Utilities to support infrastructure design projects. The role involves preparing, updating, and managing CAD drawings in line with project requirements, standards, and client specifications.

Responsibilities
 Prepare and develop 2D CAD drawings for:
o Highways and road layouts
o Drainage (surface water & foul water)
o Utilities (water, gas, electricity, telecom)
 Update drawings based on mark-ups, redline comments, and design revisions.
 Assist engineers and designers in producing:
o General arrangements
o Plan, profile, and cross-sections
o Utility corridor layouts and constraint plans
 Ensure drawings comply with:
o Project CAD standards
o Client and statutory authority requirements
 Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and file management in line with QA procedures.
 Coordinate with internal teams and respond to design changes eƯiciently.
 Support preparation of PDFs, DWGs, and drawing issue packages for submissions.

Software Skills
 AutoCAD (essential)




 Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D / MicroStation (preferred, but not mandatory)
 Basic knowledge of annotation scales, xrefs, layers, and plotting standards.

Qualifications
 Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Drafting
 4–8 years of experience as a CAD Technician in:
o Highways / Roads
o Drainage
o Utilities
 Strong understanding of:
o Road alignments and junction layouts
o Utility coordination and constraints
o Drainage layouts and basic levels
 Valuable attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
 Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and project teams
Preferred Skills
 Experience working on UK / international infrastructure projects
 Familiarity with client CAD standards and QA processes
