The Senior BIM Modeler – Electrical is responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing detailed electrical Building Information Models (BIM) for complex construction projects. This role involves creating accurate 3D models, preparing construction documentation, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams (MEP, architectural, structural), and ensuring compliance with project standards and BIM execution plans.
The Senior BIM Modeler plays a key role in clash detection, design validation, and ensuring constructability while supporting project delivery from concept through construction stages.
Key Responsibilities (Financial)

Develop detailed 3D electrical models using BIM software such as Autodesk Revit.

Create accurate electrical layouts including:

Power distribution systems
-
Lighting systems
-
Low current systems (ELV)
-
Cable trays, trunking, and containment systems
-
Produce coordinated shop drawings and as-built drawings.

Prepare BOQs and quantity take-offs from BIM models.
-
Ensure modeling complies with project BIM Execution Plan (BEP)
and LOD requirements.

Perform clash detection using tools such as Navisworks.
-
Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural teams.
-
Participate in coordination meetings and resolve design conflicts.
-
Implement corrective actions to maintain model integrity and project timelines.

Advanced proficiency in:

Autodesk Revit (Electrical)

Navisworks Manage
-
AutoCAD
-
BIM 360 / ACC
-
Knowledge of Dynamo scripting (preferred).

Familiarity with ISO 19650 BIM standards is an advantage
Qualification, Technical Skills and Competencies

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

8–12 years of experience in BIM modeling for electrical systems.

Experience in large-scale commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.

Robust understanding of electrical systems design and coordination.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
