Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting routine pediatric health assessments and physical examinations.
- Monitor and record vital signs, growth charts, and developmental milestones.
- Support the administration of vaccinations and immunizations in accordance with national guidelines.
- Educate parents and caregivers on nutrition, hygiene, immunization schedules, and common childhood illnesses.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist in managing minor illnesses, injuries, and acute conditions under supervision.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards in the pediatric unit.
- Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and continuing education sessions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) or equivalent qualification in allied health sciences.
- Valid registration with the State Nursing Council or relevant regulatory body.
- Basic knowledge of pediatric physiology, common childhood diseases, and preventive care.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with children and parents.
- Attention to detail and adherence to clinical protocols and documentation standards.
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced healthcare workplace.
- Ability to handle emotional situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Familiarity with national immunization programs (e.g., UIP) is preferred.
