Job Description: Deputy Manager – Digital Automation (Installation & Project Execution)
Role Overview
The Deputy Manager – Digital Automation is responsible for executing and supporting end-to-end automation and digitalization projects, with a strong focus on installation, system integration, and in office project handling. This role bridges traditional industrial automation with digital technologies such as IoT, data analytics, and smart systems to improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Execution & Coordination
- Execute digital automation projects from planning to commissioning and handover
- Assist in defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, IT, operations) and external vendors
- Track project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets
- Escalate risks and propose mitigation strategies

2. Installation & Commissioning
- Oversee installation of digital automation systems including PLCs, SCADA, IIoT devices, and edge systems




- Ensure proper integration between automation systems and digital platforms
- Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), SAT (Site Acceptance Test), and commissioning activities
- Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity

3. Digital Integration & Implementation
- Support deployment of IoT platforms, cloud connectivity, and data acquisition systems
- Integrate shop-floor systems with MES, ERP, or cloud-based applications
- Assist in configuring dashboards, reporting tools, and analytics platforms
- Ensure secure data communication and basic cybersecurity compliance

4. Technical Support
- Provide hands-on support for PLC/SCADA programming and debugging
- Interpret electrical, instrumentation, and network architecture diagrams
- Work closely with senior engineers to implement automation logic and digital solutions

5. Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders for project updates and issue resolution
