Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Should costing expertise in Electrical & Electronics components (power electronics, wiring harness, proprietary E/E parts)
- Maintain detailed cost structures (BOM breakdowns, raw material indexing, should-cost models, variance vs target/actual)
- Manage change control costing and assess impact on part, system, and vehicle cost
- Work with cross-functional teams to estimate BOM cost for recent parts/concepts, assemblies, and redesigns
- Benchmark competition and provide cost optimization inputs to design teams
- Perform profitability analysis and support make vs buy decisions
- Own monthly material cost reporting at vehicle and system level
