Design and optimize CO‑PA in S/4HANA
In this role, you will translate complex finance and business requirements into robust CO‑PA and Margin Analysis designs, ensuring harmonized revenue, cost, and margin views for decision-making. You will own operating concern structures, characteristics and value fields,
derivation strategies, valuation logic, allocations, and settlement designs, while integrating with SD, MM, PP, and FI. You will safeguard closing processes, incident/problem resolution, and partner with BI/Analytics on data extraction and reporting models (e.g., BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud). You will manage enhancements and change requests from impact assessment through deployment, supported by comprehensive documentation, testing strategies, and governance.
- Your responsibility will be to:
• Design and configure operating concerns, characteristics, value fields, derivations, valuation, and settlements.
• Optimize account‑based CO‑PA and Margin Analysis (ACDOCA) with revenue recognition and cost flows.
• Define consistent profitability dimensions across customer, product, region, project, and contract.
• Manage allocations/assessments, top‑down distributions, and overhead costing transparency.
