We are seeking a motivated and skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer L2 to join our support team. This role will work closely with our L3 Cloud Infrastructure Engineers, focusing on the deployment, configuration, and operational support of our mixed cloud (AWS and Azure) and on-premise infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing deployment plans, maintaining systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our critical infrastructure under the guidance of senior engineers. This position is crucial for maintaining the stability and efficiency of our systems and ensuring adherence to established best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute deployment plans and configurations for cloud-based (AWS and Azure) and on-premise infrastructure components as directed by L3 engineers.
- Perform routine maintenance, patching, and upgrades of infrastructure systems.
- Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and security using established tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Respond to alerts and incidents, performing initial troubleshooting and escalation to L3 engineers as needed.
- Assist in the implementation and management of security controls, including network security groups, IAM policies, and basic WAF configurations.
- Support data protection activities for consumer data, including monitoring backups and assisting with recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with L3 engineers and development teams to ensure successful application deployments and infrastructure readiness.
- Maintain documentation for deployed systems, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotations for critical incident response as required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes and automation scripts.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of authentication mechanisms (e.g., LDAP integration) and MFA solutions.
