Position Summary
The Staff Cafeteria Associate is responsible for providing friendly, effective, and hygienic food service to employees. This role ensures cafeteria operations run smoothly by assisting in food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, organizing dining areas, and delivering high-quality service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Food Service & Preparation
- Assist in basic food preparation such as chopping, portioning, plating, and reheating as required.
- Serve meals to staff promptly and courteously during designated meal periods.
- Ensure food items are fresh, properly labeled, and replenished throughout service hours.
Cafeteria Operations
- Set up food counters and dining areas before meal times.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the cafeteria, including tables, counters, and service stations.
- Monitor food inventory and report shortages or equipment issues to the Supervisor.
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines during daily tasks.
Hygiene & Safety
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP or equivalent).
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food items to prevent contamination.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and service areas.
