Job Description
Directly lead an experienced team of several catastrophe modelers to prioritize deliverables and key projects to be completed.
Establish and cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely, insightful, and actionable catastrophe analytics.
Update management on current technical and industry trends related to cat modeling.
Critically assess accuracy and performance of the catastrophe models. Work with various stakeholders in implementing models’ enhancements specific to the niche products.
Research, develop, and present critical insights and new ways to understand the portfolio in addition to pre-existing measurements and techniques.
Educate various stakeholders regardless their area of expertise on cat management topics.
Communicate the impact of the emerging catastrophe modeling tools to management.
Manage the model changes from technical and analytical perspective. Communicate the impact on the company risk appetite, reinsurance purchasing needs and pricing Primary Insurance
Manage regular catastrophe roll-up process and reporting of the var
