Sr. Advanced Systems Engr - Engineering NGA

The Next Generation Avionics (NGA) Engineering organization is looking for a Senior Engineer to join our product development group located in Bangalore, India.

In this role, primary responsibility will be to develop advanced features and functionality for Honeywell’s latest cockpit offering - ANTHEM. The engineer must have valuable knowledge of engineering fundamentals to complete defined project subtasks.

Responsibilities
Job Expectations:
- Detailed understanding and working experience on Avionics Systemsoftware and Certification.
- Experience in the development of any or multiple Aircraft functions like Displays, Flight Management, Communication & Navigation, Flight Controls, Cybersecurity is required.
- Analysis of customer and operational requirements to define systems architecture, capture requirements, perform integration/systems/functional testing, and conduct design reviews.
- Ability to develop, validate and verify system level requirements for flight deck avionic programs.




- Trouble shoot current systems interfaces and performance problems.
- Lead or assist in coordinating engineering review activities associated with SRR, PDR and CDR milestones.
- Able to work with a diverse group of team members who could be geographically distributed.
- Interfaces with stakeholders outside of their CoE, including Equipment Engineering Teams, Customer Engineering Leads (CEL), SPE, LSE, ASL, other engineering.
- Good Understanding of Avionics architecture (HW and Systems).
- Experience with Agile development processes.
- Knowledge of AGILE tools. IBM Rational DOORS NG Requirements Management tool, Atlassian JIRA Change management tool.
- Anticipate problems, recognize, and eliminate barriers.
- Keep management apprised of program status and roadblocks.
- Manage efforts based on priorities, availability, and commitments.
