1. Factory Compliance & Labour Laws
- Ensure the factory follows all laws, including the Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act, Minimum Wages Act, ESIC, and PF.
- Deal directly with government offices like the Labour Department, Factory Inspectorate, ESIC, and PF Office.
- Keep all government registers, forms, and files updated.
- Handle factory audits and inspections independently.
2. Managing the Workforce
- Oversee the daily attendance, leave, and shift timing systems for over 200 blue-collar workers.
- Handle hiring, onboarding, and exit processes for both workers and office staff.
- Gather monthly attendance and salary inputs, and coordinate with the finance team or payroll vendor to ensure correct salary payouts.
3. Factory Policies & Record Keeping
- Make sure employees follow the company’s rules and code of conduct.
- Help write or update company policies so they match current labor laws.
- Maintain complete and accurate employee files (both paper copies and digital records).
4. Workplace Relations
- Act as the main point of contact between workers,
supervisors, and management to maintain a peaceful and smooth working environment.
5. Training
- Work with department heads to find out what training workers and staff need.
- Organise technical and behavioural training sessions.
- Keep records of all training sessions and check if they helped improve work.
6. Growth & Department Leadership
- Take full responsibility for the HR department's performance.
- Work closely with senior management on future HR planning.
Requirements
Experience & Industry Background
- 10+ years of core HR experience.
- Must have a background working in the manufacturing or engineering industry.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in HR Management, Industrial Relations, or Labor Law.
- Additional certifications in Labor Laws, ESIC, PF, or Factory Compliance are a big plus.
