The Major Account Executive Central Government & PSU (Recent Logos) role involves securing new government clients and institutions. Responsibilities include generating demand, closing long-cycle deals, influencing decisions, and replacing existing providers. The objective is to position Akamai as the primary platform for performance, security, and resilience in critical government applications.
As a Major Account Executive, you will be responsible for:
- Driving new logo acquisition by targeting Central Government entities, identifying whitespace accounts, creating opportunities, and engaging early with key decision-makers.




- Developing and executing a comprehensive territory plan with target accounts, entry strategies, and win themes; identifying stakeholders to drive momentum.
- Creating and closing pipelines by developing opportunities via prospecting, partnerships, ecosystem influence, and leading high-value security solution pursuits effectively.
- Replacing outdated vendors and fragmented solutions with a platform-driven, outcome-oriented approach while showcasing reliability in demanding government settings.
- Building and activating an effective ecosystem of SIS, partners, consultants, and influencers to enhance market entry, scalability, and collaborative solution design.

Do what you love
