Assistant Surveyor
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Civil Engineering / Surveying – Preferred
- Certification or training in surveying instruments such as Total Station or Auto Level is an advantage
Experience
- 3 – 8 years of experience in construction surveying, preferably in building or high-rise construction projects

Role Overview
The Surveyor will be responsible for supporting surveying activities at the construction site, including layout marking, level checking, and assisting survey engineers in maintaining accurate site measurements.
The role acts as a front-line surveying support at the work front, ensuring that layout and level references are correctly marked for construction teams. The Surveyor will work closely with Survey Engineers, Tower Incharges, and site execution teams to support construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
Layout Marking
- Assist in marking grid lines, column positions, and layout points as per survey references.
- Support the Survey Engineer in setting out structural elements at site.
- Ensure layout markings are clearly visible and protected during construction activities.
Level Checking
- Assist in checking levels for excavation, footing, slabs, and structural works.
- Maintain reference levels and temporary benchmarks at site.
- Support engineers in ensuring correct level control during construction execution.
Survey Instrument Handling
- Assist in operating and setting up survey instruments such as Total Station, Auto Level, and Dumpy Level.
- Ensure proper handling and safety of survey equipment at site.
- Maintain instruments in positive working condition.
Site Coordination
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and execution teams for layout and survey requirements.
- Provide survey references to support formwork, reinforcement, and concrete works.
- Assist in resolving minor survey-related issues at the work front.
Survey Data Support
- Assist the Survey Engineer in recording survey
