The Assistant Urban Planner & Designer supports the planning, design, and development of urban environments, communities, and infrastructure projects. The role involves assisting in land-use planning, urban design studies, master planning, GIS analysis, stakeholder coordination, and preparation of planning reports and presentations. The position works closely with senior planners, architects, engineers, government agencies, and community stakeholders to create sustainable, functional, and aesthetically appealing urban spaces. The Assistant Urban Planner supports project teams with the analysis, investigation and development of urban planning strategies and master plans, considering natural, social, economic and built workplace characteristics, as well as the specific cultural, political, institutional and administrative contexts for non-complex urban planning projects. He supports the development of preliminary and final maps, such as land use, zoning, transportation and infrastructure maps.

- Lead the design visioning and conceptual development of master plans and urban design strategies.
- Coordinate urban design concepts with contextual and spatial analysis including land use, mobility, public realm, and environmental factors.
- Translate development principles and planning policies into high-quality design outputs.
- Develop and evaluate multiple conceptual alternatives and contribute to refinement and selection of preferred options.
- Prepare and oversee the production of key deliverables such as conceptual and detailed master plans, urban guidelines, design briefs, and development control documents.
- Coordinate with internal engineering and architectural disciplines and ensure the integration of infrastructure, sustainability, and place making principles.
