Job purpose: Indirect Tax Specialist acts as a tax process expert, a self-reliant processperformer, focused and specialized in delivery of Taxcompliance (mainly VAT): means delivery of VAT returns, Excise Duty returns and other local Indirect Tax Reports. Key responsibilities:1) Completes all Tax related accounting activities and tax compliance activities upon which tax reporting depends, including control checks of transactional data to identify any errors or anomalies. Resolving errors/anomalies by engaging with Op Cos/other business streams• Preparation and timely, accurate delivery of VAT returns,• Preparation of local statutory accounts - analysis and reconciliation of GL indirect tax accounts in line with local legislation• Completes Period End Close activities related to VAT accounting - VATclearings entries,• Preparation of payment requests,• Preparation of ad hoc Tax reports2) Supports Tax reviews, statutory and Tax audits and ad hoc requests,3) Contributes to continuous improvement by proposing ideas,



participation inprojects and applying any agreed changes to the processes,4) Works with Pt P, Rt R, Ot C and Opco Tax Teams to ensure that errors are properly corrected and that remedial action has been taken to minimize the likelihood of similar errors in future.5) Handles the Tax queries from Op Co. Filter function - be first point of contactfor transactional Tax questions (questions which would not have influence onbusiness decisions)6) Initiates and supports Tax changes required into system ERP System and other Platforms7) Revises tax compliance process: implementation of ‘4 eyes’ policy, internal reviewer role Functional Reporting line: Indirect Tax COE Lead Qualifications/ Experience / skills required per job levels: Must have:1.
