Chief Manager – Quality Assurance (Transmission Line Manufacturing)

About the Role:

The Chief Manager – Quality Assurance is responsible for leading the organization's quality management function by ensuring products meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards. The role oversees quality assurance, quality control, process validation, supplier quality, audits, QMS implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities: Lead quality assurance and quality control activities for transmission line manufacturing. Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001). Drive lean quality practices and continuous improvement initiatives. Establish inspection stages and quality checkpoints to ensure defect-free products. Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), quality procedures, records, and documentation. Coordinate with customers, project teams, suppliers, and auditors to ensure compliance with quality requirements.



Develop and maintain quality records, documentation, and positive housekeeping practices. Oversee supplier quality management, vendor development, and new product quality validation. Conduct internal and external quality audits and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented. Establish testing facilities and quality validation processes based on project requirements. Drive process validation, field failure analysis, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications: B. E. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. 15–20 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within medium to large engineering or manufacturing organizations, preferably in transmission line or heavy engineering industries.

Required Skills: Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards. Hands-on experience with SAP/ERP systems. Proficiency in MS Office. Knowledge of Kaizen, TQM, TPM, Six
