Teacher – Social Studies - Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and assessments as per curriculum.
- Use interactive teaching methods, including maps, charts and experiential learning.
- Support students in developing analytical, interpretive, and geographical skills.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Support and mentor students with learning gaps or special needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, coordinators, and parents for integrated learning.
- Participate in training, workshops, and staff meetings for professional growth.
- Maintain student records, discipline, and adherence to school policies.
- Prepare students for internal assessments, Checkpoint exams (if applicable), and school-based evaluations.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in social sciences (History, Political Science, Geography, Sociology, or related fields), B.Ed. (preferred)
- Robust conceptual understanding.




- Good communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to design engaging lesson plans and creative teaching aids.
- Patience, empathy, and ability to handle diverse learners.
- Collaborative mindset to work with peers, coordinators, and parents.
- Proficiency in computer skills (MS Office, digital tools for teaching).
- Prior teaching experience of 2 to 4 yrs at school level preferred.
