Job Summary
We are seeking a Lighting Controls Technical Designer to join our Genlyte Design Team. In this role, you will develop and deliver customized lighting and controls solutions for a wide range of commercial, industrial, and infrastructure applications.
You will collaborate closely with sales, quotations, field services,
and cross-functional teams to support projects from initial design through proposal and execution. This position combines technical design expertise with direct agent and end user support, playing a key role in delivering high-value, complex lighting system solutions.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Participate in customer projects through all phases from design to proposal through completion. You will be primarily involved in design applications/solutions and assist in proposal development of high-value/high-complexity projects.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Participate in projects through all phases—from design and proposal development to execution and completion
- Design and develop lighting control systems for interior, exterior and site & area style applications
- Review electrical and architectural documentation (reflected ceiling plans, riser diagrams, panel schedules, fixture schedules, and power plans
