Electrical Engineer - Data Center Project
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design, implementation, and oversight for mission-critical data center projects. This role requires deep technical expertise in high-voltage power distribution, backup power systems, and critical infrastructure electrical design.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering Lead electrical design for data center facilities including power distribution systems, UPS configurations, generator systems,
and emergency power infrastructure. Develop single-line diagrams, load calculations, and electrical specifications. Ensure designs meet uptime requirements (Tier II/III/IV standards) and comply with NFPA, NEC, IEEE, and local building codes.
Project Execution Manage electrical scope during construction including contractor coordination, submittal reviews, and RFI responses. Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality and code compliance. Oversee commissioning activities including integrated systems testing, load bank testing, and parallel operation verification.
Technical Leadership Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design teams. Review electrical calculations, protective device coordination studies, arc flash analyses, and short circuit studies. Collaborate with mechanical engineers on infrastructure interdependencies and with IT teams on power requirements.
