Job Title: Consultants

Job content: As a medical professional, he/she is expected to provide patients with a high level of professional care. He/she must assume overall clinical responsibility for all patients in his care and treat them with due courtesy.

Education: MCh/DNB or Equivalent in Cardio Thoracic Vascular Surgery from an NMC recognized University from India or abroad. Specialized training and Fellowships for pediatric age groups.

Training in Minimally invasive technique

Transplant Surgery approved Fellowship in India or abroad

Duties:
- Clinical
- The Consultant will provide efficient and effective history taking, assessment, interpretation of diagnostic test results and management of the department’s patients following accepted professional guidelines
- Competent to perform cardiovascular surgeries, both invasive and non-invasive, congenital or acquired, related to heart and its blood vessels for patients with various congenital and/or acquired cardiovascular diseases, related to heart and related blood vessels, lungs, esophagus




- Performing surgeries for various heart conditions such as atrial fibrillation ablation, endocarditis, heart valves surgeries (commissurotomy, valve replacement, valve repair/ reconstruction. Homograft/ autograft replacement and arterial blockages using surgeries such as bypass operations and fitting stents.
- Performing both emergency and scheduled operations and delivering pre and post operative care to patients.
- Performing IABP and management of cardiac support devices
- Repair of congenital heart defects such as ASD, VSD, PDA, aortic vascular anomalies) coarctation, ring aberrancies) Bicuspid aortic valve commissurotomy
- Performing Cardiac revascularization surgeries, conduction system surgeries, surgeries of the outstanding and peripheral vessels, pulmonary artery surgeries
- Treat injuries, diseases and congenital abnormalities in the patients chest.
