We expect you to have
- Have at least 8 years of skilled experience in a software/data engineering role
- To write high-quality, well-documented, high-performance code
- Be eager to learn new technologies and best practices in data engineering by working with a world-class data team
- Have a solid understanding of one or more programming languages: Python (required) , Java, SQL
- Understanding of Docker, Git, AWS cloud services like S3 , EC2 , ECS
- Bachelor of Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent degree, or have equivalent qualifications/experience
It would be great if you:
- Solid understanding of using the command line, utilities in Bash/ zsh, and interacting with cloud resources without a GUI/web-based interface.
- Be familiar with parallel processing frameworks, orchestration and scheduling tools, and distributed data systems such as Databric k s .
- Ambitious and enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced environment
- Be able to communicate and write concisely and clearly in English
- Databricks Certified Data Engineering Associate or Profession al certifications are a plus
