Backend Developer – Senior Consultant

(.NET | Azure | APIs | SQL)

Role Summary

A Senior Consultant – Backend Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs using .NET and Azure. The role requires solid hands on technical expertise, ownership of backend components, and the ability to guide junior team members while delivering high quality enterprise solutions.

This is a delivery focused, hands on role with technical leadership at the feature or module level.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development
- Design, develop, and optimize C# / .NET Core Web APIs.
- Implement secure, scalable, and high performance backend services.
- Apply best practices in dependency injection,



middleware, async programming, and error handling.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs with proper versioning and documentation.
- Integrate backend services with databases and external systems.
- Ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability of backend components.

Cloud & Infrastructure (Azure)
- Deploy and manage backend services on Azure App Service.
- Configure application settings, environments, and secrets.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and diagnostics using Azure Application Insights.
- Troubleshoot production issues using logs, telemetry, and metrics.
- Support release and environment management activities.

Data & Integration
- Work with SQL Server / Azure SQL databases.
- Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and data access logic.
- Ensure data integrity, performance, and transaction handling.
- Integrate with authentication providers and external APIs.
