Job Summary

A Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET IV) in the BenTech Integrations API team will drive high-quality software delivery for API-first and event-driven integration capabilities that connect The Standard’s insurance ecosystem with external benefits technology platforms, HCM systems, and partner solutions. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining advanced automation frameworks for REST APIs, microservices,



event-driven flows, data validation, and integration testing across the BenTech platform.

In this role, you will work closely with API engineers, data engineers, product owners, architects, DevOps/SRE teams, and business stakeholders to ensure that integration capabilities are reliable, secure, scalable, and production ready. You will build automated test coverage into CI/CD/CT pipelines, validate API contracts, test data flow across upstream and downstream systems, support non-functional testing, and improve observability through logs, metrics, dashboards, and automated quality gates.
