The Senior Risk & Control Review Manager plays a critical role in leading operational risk management activities at the enterprise level, specifically for the branch banking business (Remote locations). The role is responsible for designing and refining strategies to ensure effective risk coverage and alignment of the asset portfolio with the bank’s risk appetite. It involves building teams, systems, processes, and a culture that supports scalable and consistent delivery. The incumbent will collaborate closely with Business/Product Heads and leaders from Credit, Risk, Operations, Legal, and Collections to enhance enterprise risk efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct process reviews and Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) based on sampling, with a solid understanding of rural products, policies, and processes.
Perform branch visits, business correspondent partner visits, and alliance reviews; publish reports with clear timelines and actionable items.
Ensure timely completion of RCSA activities as per the annual rural plan.
Conduct half-yearly hindsight reviews of all strategic alliance partners and ensure timely closure of identified issues.
Maintain and update the Risk & Control Matrix and Risk Register in the SNOW system for all assigned units (Rural Banking Ops, Business, Credit, Business Correspondents, and Alliances).
Complete product reviews and ensure timely closure of related reports.
Follow up on open issues and action plans to ensure closure.
Secondary Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
Support regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and guidelines.
Continuously monitor and improve operational risk frameworks and controls.
