The Cost Management Team at IDFC First Bank is dedicated to driving cost optimization initiatives and partnering with various teams for end-to-end implementation. The team focuses on improving process efficiencies and reducing the cost-to-income ratio. We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Specialist who will play a crucial role in analyzing and optimizing expenses to ensure cost efficiency across the Bank. The role involves leading a team of professionals, driving initiatives that enhance financial efficiency, and contributing to the Bank’s profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Manage and mentor a team comprising analysts and senior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and financial accountability.
Analyze current spending patterns, identify areas for potential savings, and propose actionable solutions.
Identify cost optimization projects and partner with teams for major initiatives from concept initiation, planning, cost-saving estimation, through to implementation.
Provide interim feedback to management on project status as required.
Engage with business and support teams to review end-to-end business processes and suggest measures to improve efficiencies.
Develop and execute cost-saving projects that align with the Bank’s strategic goals.
Monitor the effectiveness of cost-saving measures and adjust strategies as necessary.
Present findings and recommendations to senior management to support informed strategic decisions.
Secondary Responsibilities
Focus on automation of activities performed by the team to improve productivity.
Identify, recommend, and implement cost optimization opportunities to enhance financial performance and efficiency.
What We Are Looking For
Education
Graduation: B.Com
Post-graduation: MBA
Professional Qualification/Certification: CA / CFA
Experience
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
