Responsibilities
The Manager, Planning and Purchasing, oversees the company's supply chain, inventory strategies and procurement activities. This is a critical role that balances customer demand by forecasting needs, sourcing reliable vendors,
and regular reviews of demand and supply to mitigate supply chain risks.
Key Responsibilities Include
Demand Planning - Analyse historical sales data and market trends to forecast future inventory needs.
Inventory Control - Develop metrics to gauge inventory levels, prevent stockouts and minimise carrying costs.
Vendor Identification and Management - Adherence to company policy in dealing with vendors and suppliers.
Cross Functional Collaboration - Work with engineering, production and finance teams to support overall business objectives.
Supply Chain Continuity - Establish contingency plans to ensure supply, mitigate discruptions and manage operational risks.
Continuous Improvement - Lead the team in projects to improve efficiency, including process mapping and inventory optimisation.
Team Leadership - Involve in hiring, training, scheduling, performance review of team members.
