We are seeking an experienced OT engineer with Rockwell RS Logix 5000 or any PLC and Ignition skills to develop Manufacturing execution systems (MES) and OT solutions. The role involves Development, integration, managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing MES and Ignition systems to ensure seamless production operations and alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Deployment and Integration
Assist in deploying current features, configurations, and integrations for FactoryTalk and Ignition systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth communication between Ignition, PLCs, MES and ERP systems.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution
Analyze system logs and conduct root cause analysis for system issues and malfunctions.
Resolve hardware and software issues related to MES and OT systems.
Ensure minimal production downtime by providing timely and effective support during system failures.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain comprehensive documentation for troubleshooting processes, system configurations, and changes.
Generate and share periodic performance reports, including system availability and uptime metrics.
Training and Stakeholder Collaboration
Train plant personnel and operators on effective use and best practices for MES systems.
Collaborate with vendors and external partners to escalate and resolve complex issues.
Compliance and Best Practices
Ensure systems adhere to corporate IT/OT policies and standards, including cybersecurity protocols.
Stay updated with the latest developments in MES, Ignition and PLC technologies.
Required Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Instrumentation, Computer or related field.
Experience
5-12 years of experience in supporting MES and Ignition systems within manufacturing environments.
Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA, and MES systems integration.
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as OPC, MQTT, and Modbus.
