Building Electrician
1. Core Responsibilities - *Installation*: Run conduit, pull wiring, install circuit breakers, panels, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and fire alarms in recent buildings or renovations. - *Reading & Interpretation*: Read blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes to lay out wiring plans correctly. - *Troubleshooting & Repair*: Diagnose electrical faults, short circuits, power outages, or faulty equipment and fix them safely. - *Maintenance*: Inspect and test systems regularly to prevent failures and ensure code compliance. - *Upgrades*: Install smart systems, EV chargers, backup generators, solar connections, or energy-efficient lighting. 2. Key Skills & Knowledge - *Technical*: Knowledge of NEC/IEC electrical codes, load calculations, AC/DC circuits, and hand/power tools. - *Safety First*: Lock-out/tag-out procedures, PPE use, working at heights,
and understanding of grounding/bonding. - *Physical*: Climbing ladders, lifting conduit, working in tight or hot spaces. - *Soft Skills*: Problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate with plumbers, HVAC techs, and other workers. 3. Requirements - *License/Certification*: We require a license or journeyman/master electrician certification. - *Education*: High school diploma + apprenticeship or vocational/technical training in electrical work. - *Experience*: Good experience, not a helper level, but licensed electricians handle panels and final connections. 4. Flexibility - *Other job*: Performing any other task as assigned by the management in case the is no electrical work.
