Role Overview

We are looking for a QA Automation Lead with strong expertise in Playwright using JavaScript or TypeScript to lead and scale our automation testing initiatives across Augmont's web applications and platforms.
This is a hands-on role where you will build robust automation frameworks from scratch, drive automation-first quality practices, integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, and significantly reduce manual testing efforts while ensuring high-quality product releases.

Key Responsibilities

QA Automation Leadership
Own the end-to-end QA automation strategy across web applications and APIs.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
Build reliable automated test suites for functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
Drive high automation coverage across all product releases.

Automation Development
Develop reusable, maintainable, and effective Playwright test scripts.
Automate REST API testing and backend validations.
Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins,



GitHub Actions, etc.).
Continuously improve test execution speed, stability, and reporting.

Quality Engineering
Implement Shift-Left testing practices by collaborating with developers early in the SDLC.
Establish QA automation standards, coding guidelines, and best practices.
Monitor automation coverage, defect leakage, and quality metrics.
Ensure reliable and production-ready releases through continuous testing.

Collaboration
Partner with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams throughout the development lifecycle.
Mentor QA engineers in Playwright automation and modern testing practices.
Promote automation-first and quality engineering culture across teams.

Required Skills & Experience :

4+ years of experience in QA Automation or Software Testing.
Strong hands-on expertise in Playwright with JavaScript or TypeScript (mandatory).
Experience in building automation frameworks from scratch
