We are looking for a seasoned Safety professional to lead and enforce Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) practices at solar EPC project sites. The role is critical in ensuring zero harm, regulatory compliance, and a strong safety culture across all construction and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
HSE Planning & Implementation
Develop and implement site-specific HSE plans, procedures, and policies.
Ensure compliance with company safety standards, client requirements, and statutory regulations.
Conduct hazard identification (HIRA/JSA) and risk assessments for all site activities.
Site Safety Management
Monitor day-to-day site activities including:
Civil works (excavation, foundations, trenching)
Module mounting structure (MMS) erection
Electrical works (cable laying, termination, testing)
Enforce use of PPE and protected work practices across workforce and contractors.
Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and toolbox talks.
Incident Management & Reporting
Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions.
Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain and report HSE KPIs, incident statistics, and compliance reports.
Contractor & Workforce Safety
Ensure all contractors comply with HSE requirements and permit-to-work (PTW) systems.
Conduct safety inductions and training programs for employees and labor.
Monitor contractor safety performance and drive continuous improvement.
Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure adherence to applicable safety regulations such as:
Factory Act (if applicable), BOCW Act, Electrical Safety Rules
Maintain safety documentation, licenses, and ensure audit readiness.
Coordinate with authorities for inspections and compliance audits.
