About the Role
We're building a next-generation Marketplace Platform that enables customers to purchase, subscribe, and manage products through a up-to-date self-service experience while supporting enterprise customers with advanced licensing, provisioning, and back-office capabilities.
We're looking for a hands-on Software Engineering Lead who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while mentoring a small engineering team. This is not a people-management-only role—you'll be the primary technical leader, architect, and a significant individual contributor responsible for designing, building, and delivering a scalable commerce platform.

What You'll Do
Lead the architecture, design, and development of a cloud-native Marketplace Platform.
Build scalable Java/Spring Boot microservices powering payments, subscriptions, entitlements, and product activation.
Design and implement recurring billing capabilities, including monthly, annual,



and usage-based subscriptions, upgrades, downgrades, prorations, renewals, cancellations, and dunning workflows.
Own the end-to-end Stripe integration, including Checkout, Billing, Subscriptions, Invoicing, Webhooks, payment recovery, refunds, and idempotent event processing.
Build secure, scalable REST APIs and integrate seamlessly with existing platform services.
Design enterprise-grade entitlement and licensing models supporting both self-service and enterprise customers.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
Lead a team of 2–4 engineers through technical mentoring, architecture reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
Ensure high standards for testing, performance, security, observability, and production reliability.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes deployments, GitOps practices, and cloud infrastructure.
