The Engineer is responsible for performing engineering and technical review
activities related to vessel / offshore unit stability, statutory compliance,
and associated marine regulatory requirements. The role may also involve review
of structural related documents. The role supports project execution through
technical plan reviews, engineering analyses, and assessments to ensure
conformance with applicable ABS rules, regulations, and international standards.
Work may involve major projects or multiple smaller assignments requiring sound
engineering judgment, cross-functional coordination, and effective client
interaction.

What You Will Do:

* Carry out engineering reviews and independent analyses of Intact and Damage
stability booklets, loading manuals and project specific submissions for
Ships and Offshore units, as applicable.

* Assess compliance with applicable statutory requirements, classification
rules, and international regulations.

* Review of structural related documents may be an added responsibility based
on the types of projects executed.





* Coordinate within ABS internal engineering and operations, and submitters to
resolve technical issues.

* Support project execution by managing assigned review activities within
agreed schedules and quality expectations.

* Prepare technical review documents as per ABS internal quality standards.

* Maintain awareness of applicable regulatory changes and engineering practices
affecting stability and statutory reviews.

* Contribute to continuous improvement of ABS technical review processes,
procedures, and work instructions.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related
engineering discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.

* At least three (3) years of relevant stability & statutory experience in a
classification society / a standard Marine-Offshore design consultancy /
Shipyard design office.
