Justification by Hiring Manager for new recruitment
Recruitment is required to fill an existing approved vacancy for a Hull & Outfitting Technician to support vessel hull aluminum repair and outfitting activities during Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations in Jizan Region. This vacancy will be open from 30 June as the one of the H&O; technician has decided to terminate his contract with MEMR. The Hull & Outfitting Technician performs assigned aluminum hull repair, outfitting, fitting, and welding support activities during vessel Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations. 1. Carry out assigned aluminum hull repair and outfitting activities as directed by the Foreman and in line with work schedules. 2. Perform aluminum plate repair, renewal, fitting, alignment, and welding-related works on vessel hull structures. 3. Assist in installation, removal
repair, and replacement of outfitting components and related supports. 4. Prepare work areas, materials, tools, and equipment before starting assigned tasks. 5. Read and follow structural drawings, sketches, job cards,



and work instructions related to aluminum repair and outfitting work. 6. Support fit-up, grinding, edge preparation, and dimensional checks before welding and installation activities. 7. Carry out other related tasks as required by the company. Diploma in Shipbuilding, Fabrication Technology, or equivalent trade diploma. 1. Positive knowledge of aluminum hull structures, aluminum fabrication, fitting, and outfitting activities. 2. Knowledge of GRP/FRP composite hull repairing and gel coating preferred but not required. 3. Ability to read and understand structural drawings, isometrics, and layout sketches. 4. Familiarity with aluminum repair activities, workshop practices, and vessel maintenance environments. 5. Ability to use measuring tools and perform fit-up, alignment, and installation works accurately. 6. Knowledge of safe use of hand tools, power tools, and common fabrication equipment.
