Experience level 5-6 yrs
Core .NET Expertise
Strong experience with C# and modern .NET (.NET 8)
Preferred experience with WPF and any other .NET UI frameworks
Deep understanding of:
Dependency Injection
Asynchronous programming (async/await)
Exception handling and resilience patterns
SOLID principles and clean architecture
Experience working with AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Copilot, etc.)
Testing & Quality Engineering
Solid experience with unit testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest)
Ability to design meaningful tests beyond “happy path” scenarios
Familiarity with mocking frameworks
Codebase Comprehension
Proven ability to quickly understand large, unfamiliar codebases
Comfort working with AI-generated code and improving it where needed
Ability to reason about intent vs. implementation
Preferred experience modernizing or replacing legacy enterprise applications
Behavioral & Professional Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
High attention to detail and quality
Comfortable challenging assumptions and validating correctness
Ability to work independently with minimal handholding
Clear written and verbal communication, especially when documenting findings
