Dialysis Techician

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities Prepare dialysis machines and equipment before each treatment. Perform pre-dialysis equipment checks and ensure machines are functioning properly. Prepare patients for dialysis by recording vital signs and assessing their condition. Operate hemodialysis machines according to prescribed treatment protocols. Monitor patients throughout dialysis and promptly report any complications to the Nephrologist or Nursing staff. Document patient observations, dialysis parameters, and treatment details accurately. Assist the Nephrologist during dialysis-related procedures whenever required. Ensure proper handling, cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of dialysis machines and equipment. Maintain strict infection control practices and biomedical waste management protocols. Ensure availability of dialysis consumables and report shortages to the concerned department.



Educate patients and caregivers regarding dialysis procedures and post-dialysis care. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical healthcare practices. Participate in quality improvement activities, departmental meetings, and training programs. Ensure compliance with NABH standards, hospital policies, and patient safety guidelines. Perform any other duties assigned by the Department Head or Hospital Management. Job Specification Qualification Diploma / B.Sc. in Dialysis Technology or equivalent Allied Health Science qualification. Registration Registration with the appropriate Allied Health Council, wherever applicable. Experience Freshers or candidates with 1–5 years of experience in a dialysis unit or multispecialty hospital are preferred.
