Product Security Engineer

Summary:
As part, a member of an R&D; team, the Product Security Engineer works in close collaboration with the project & cybersecurity lead on assigned tasks and provides inputs to the design and testing of the current product/project.



The engineer also provides guidance to software developers on their security issues, engages in design reviews, and helps resolve security issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform threat modeling, security risk assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing on various medical products and projects.
- Provide/Implement security guidance and best practices in the design and development lifecycle of various medical products.
- Prepare and document standard operating procedures and evaluate industry standards.
- Determines required tasks and completes them on time with no supervision
- Identifies and communicates potential risks with appropriate mitigations
- Supports other engineers on their designs, and also receives guidance from Specialists or Principal Engineer

Experience:
- BS Degree (preferably in a technical discipline)
- 8+ years of engineering experience, or comparable experience
- 6+ years of security engineeri
