Overview

Seeking an experienced Chassis Design & Release Engineer with expertise in the design, development, validation, and release of chassis systems including Suspension (Structural & Tunable Components), Steering, Brakes, Wheels & Tires, Pedal Systems, Mounts & Bushings, Corner Modules, and Chassis Accessories. The role involves end-to-end product development, supplier coordination, CAD/PLM management, vehicle integration, validation, and quality improvement activities while ensuring delivery of cost, quality, and timing targets in an automotive OEM/Tier-1 workplace. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics, durability, NVH, suspension kinematics, and automotive product development processes.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, validation, and release of Chassis systems and components for current and future vehicle programs.
- Own engineering activities for one or more chassis domains including:
- Suspension Structural Components (Control Arms, Links, Cradles, Twist Beams, Knuckles, Hub & Bearing Assemblies, Ball Joints, Frames, Fasteners)




- Suspension Tunable Components (Shock Absorbers, Struts, Springs, Stabilizer Bars, Bushings, Top Mounts, Jounce Bumpers, Corner Modules)
- Steering Systems
- Brake Systems
- Wheels & Tires
- Pedal Systems
- Chassis Accessories and Underbody Protection Systems
- Perform component design, CAD development, packaging studies, tolerance analysis, and BOM/PLM management.
- Define system requirements, performance targets, durability objectives, and development plans to meet vehicle quality, cost, weight, and timing targets.
- Manage end-to-end product development activities including requirement definition, supplier selection, technical reviews, design validation, testing, and engineering change management.
- Develop and maintain DFMEA, DVP&R;, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP documentation, and support product validation activities.
