Working days & Timings: Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM
Job Summary: The CNC Programmer is responsible for creating and optimizing CAM machining programs to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop CNC programs for milling and turning machines.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and machining requirements.
- Optimize machining parameters for productivity and quality.
- Coordinate with production teams for trial runs and program improvements.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain CNC program documentation and revision records.
- Ensure adherence to quality and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in CAM software tools such as Catia.
CAM programmers need to adapt at using these tools to generate toolpaths, define machining operations, and simulate the manufacturing process and verify in Vericut
- Selecting appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and other machining parameters based on the requirements of the part to be manufactured and the capabilities of the CNC machines.
- Conduct feasibility studies and drawing analysis of parts
- Perform 3D modelling and design special tools and fixtures.
- Prepare tool layouts and setup sheets for machining.
Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering with min. 5+ years of industry experience.
- Experience with CATIA CAM programming and machining processes.
- Knowledge of 5-axis machining and aerospace component manufacturing preferred.
