The selected candidate will play an active role in teaching undergraduate courses, mentoring student projects, modernizing laboratories, developing industry partnerships, and helping students become job-ready professionals.
This is not a traditional lecture-only teaching position.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching Excellence
- Deliver undergraduate Civil Engineering courses with conceptual clarity and practical relevance.
- Integrate real-world case studies, field examples, and software tools into classroom teaching.
- Design assignments that encourage critical thinking and problem solving rather than rote learning.
- Use project-based and activity-based learning wherever appropriate.
Student Mentorship
- Mentor student design projects, technical clubs, and innovation activities.
- Guide students in preparing professional portfolios, technical presentations, and competition entries.
- Encourage participation in hackathons,
design competitions, model-making events, and research initiatives.
- Support students in internship preparation and career development.
Curriculum Innovation
Faculty will contribute to curriculum enhancement in areas such as:
- AutoCAD
- Revit and BIM
- Civil 3D
- STAAD.Pro
- ETABS (Basics)
- Quantity Surveying
- Primavera / MS Project
- GIS (QGIS)
- Digital Surveying
- Drone Applications (desirable)
- Construction Planning
- Sustainable Infrastructure

- AI tools for Civil Engineering
- Python for Engineering Applications
You are not expected to be an expert in every area. Curiosity and willingness to learn are more key than knowing every software package.
