Job Purpose
The AutoCAD Designer – Interior Designing is responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, space plans, and detailed design documentation that support interior design concepts and project execution. The role requires close coordination with designers, architects, site engineers, and vendors to ensure all drawings meet project requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Drawing & Design Documentation
- Prepare accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings for interior design projects.
- Develop 3D layouts and design visualizations (where applicable).
- Create detailed:
- Floor plans
- Elevations
- Sections
- Furniture layouts
- Reflected ceiling plans
- Construction drawings
- Convert conceptual sketches and design ideas into accurate technical drawings.
2. Design Coordination
- Coordinate with interior designers, architects,
project managers, site engineers, and vendors to ensure drawings reflect project requirements.
- Revise and update drawings based on design modifications, client feedback, and site conditions.
- Support seamless communication between design and execution teams.
3. Shop Drawings & Detailing
- Prepare detailed shop drawings for interior fit-out works.
- Develop joinery and cabinetry details.
- Prepare lighting layouts and material specifications.
- Ensure all drawings are accurate, coordinated, and ready for execution.
4. Documentation & Quality Control
- Maintain drawing files, revisions, and document version control.
- Ensure drawings comply with company standards, client specifications, and applicable building regulations.
- Verify drawing accuracy before issue for construction.
5. Site Coordination
- Visit project sites when required to take measurements and verify dimensions.
